About RAM
RAM (The reference group of antifungal agents) is an independent expert group whose members are appointed by the Infectious Diseases Institute and the Swedish Society of Medicine.
RAM's main task is to promote the rational use of antifungal agents for invasive fungal disease.
RAM was founded originally as a method group for susceptibility testing 1999th In March 2003 transformed RAM and received when the current main task. At the same time formed Nordic Reference Group on Methods in Medical Mycology (NRMM see below links), which assumed responsibility for the diagnostic methods, particularly methods relating to the nature and susceptibility testing of fungi and quality of these.
RAM's mission is to disseminate information on the antifungal and continuously develop and update recommendations for the use of antifungal agents for invasive fungal disease.
