Industry-Sponsored Studies

1. A company has a study they wish to conduct in Sweden within the framework of the network.

This could involve:

  • Interventional/treatment studies/vaccine trials
  • Sampling studies
  • Other studies on diagnostics and/or clinical management (should concern acute infectious diseases)

2. The company sends the protocol to ACTION Sweden’s steering group (actionSweden@sls.se) for a feasibility assessment within the network. The following should be included:

  • Background
  • Study design including number of visits and procedures
  • Planned scope (how many sites and patients are needed in Sweden for study allocation)
  • Study population, including inclusion and exclusion criteria
  • Intervention(s)
  • Endpoint (outcome variable)
  • Timeline

3. ACTION Sweden’s steering group and the network’s contact persons review the protocol, discuss feasibility, and, if the study is deemed feasible, contact suitable sites to assess interest in participation. The goal is for the steering group to provide a response within one week on behalf of ACTION Sweden.
